The Patent Employee Recognition for Excellence (PERX) program is a management initiative to promote engagement within the examination corps. Under the program, SPEs will receive a biweekly email including information such as employee milestones (e.g. EOD anniversary), and achievements such as PTAB affirmances and lack of TSS returns, and can choose to recognize those on a one-on-one basis. If your SPE elects to participate, you should be given an opportunity to choose how you would like to receive this recognition, such as by email, phone call, or IM. Recognition under PERX (or lack thereof) will have no impact on your end of year rating.
